Safe from any cyber risk - SMI for cybersecurity

_
Your SAFETY is a top priority for SMI

Business digital transformation and the creation of an increasingly wider cyber environment made companies more exposed to the risk of attacks.
In response to this phenomenon, the SMI Group adopted cybersecurity measures to prevent accidents and enhance the protection of customers' and partners' data, as the GDPR (General Regulation on Data Protection) establishes.
Among the actions that SMI has already performed are:

  • specific training courses for the employees for the development of a greater awareness of cyber risks and crimes, with constant updates
  • reduction in vulnerability of business data with strict control of our management systems and a limited number of users who can access them
  • protection of corporate accounts and devices and secure storage of all data
  • drafting of a social media policy and a cyber code of ethics in order to regulate and promote the responsible use of social platforms and of business cyber and technological resources
  • use of cloud solutions and communication protocols that ensure high safety standards, constant interventions for their maintenance and easy monitoring
  • creation of a team dealing with cybersecurity within the company
_

And SMI commitment to protect customers and partners within the framework of Information & Communication Technology does not end here.
We are, in fact, currently implementing further measures to face the challenges related to cybersecurity. Among them are:

  • the use of artificial intelligence in self-learning to detect anomalies in the network traffic
  • analysis of the dark web
  • adoption of a management system in compliance with ISO 27001

What can you do?
In addition to these measures, we think that a key role in the prevention of risks related to data and information exchange is played by the raising of consciousness and awareness through a series of best practices.
Below, you will find some recommendations in order to protect yourself from the most common scams for stealing personal data and information: phishing and spoofing.
These are small precautions that can make the difference and help you prevent attacks:

  • pay attention to the e-mails that you receive and always check the domain. Sometimes only a letter, a character or the extension are changed
  • make sure that your software programs and your security tools are updated
  • cast doubt on the legitimacy of communications that you receive. There are warning bells that can help you detect phishing attempts, such as the presence of grammatical errors, the urgent request for sensitive information, suspicious links or unexpected attachments

With the certainty that behind the effective implementation of the protection measures lie collaboration and communication, we remain at your full disposal for any requirement.
